Last Saturday, June 8th, Emper Paws hosted an incredible Pet Zongzi Workshop, where pet owners and their furry friends gathered to celebrate the traditional Dragon Boat Festival in a unique and delightful way. The workshop was all about DIYing pet-friendly Zongzi, and it was an event to remember!

Celebrating Tradition with a Twist

The Dragon Boat Festival is a time-honored celebration, and this year, we decided to bring the festive spirit to our beloved pets. Pet owners were invited to join our workshop and learn how to make Zongzi specifically designed for their dogs and cats. The excitement was palpable as participants arrived, eager to create something special for their furry companions.

Step-by-Step Guidance from Our Bakery Specialist

Our skilled bakery specialist led the workshop, providing step-by-step instructions on how to make pet-friendly Zongzi. Participants followed along as we prepared a variety of natural ingredients that pets love, such as lean meats, vegetables, and grains. Each ingredient was carefully chosen to ensure it was safe and nutritious for pets.

Under the guidance of our expert, pet owners placed the ingredients onto fresh lotus leaves (荷叶). With a bit of patience and skill, they folded the leaves into the traditional Zongzi shape, creating little parcels of deliciousness for their pets. The atmosphere was filled with joy and laughter as everyone enjoyed the hands-on experience.

Once the Zongzi were crafted, our bakery specialist took over to steam them to perfection. The anticipation grew as the aroma of freshly steamed Zongzi filled the air. It wasn’t long before the pets were treated to their very own festive delicacies.

A Day of Fun and Celebration

We were delighted to see both cats and dogs participating in our afternoon and evening sessions. It was a heartwarming sight to see pets and their owners bonding over this unique activity. The joy and satisfaction on everyone’s faces were undeniable, making it clear that this was a day well spent.
